So, I had two kids and the sight of myself in the mirror stopped matching the self image of the cute college coed I used to be! I found myself wearing unflattering clothes, and was low on energy. You know how you have to look for your shoe under the bed and the very thought of bending over in your tight jeans makes you grunt? That was me 5 months ago before I started taking my bootcamp experience with Toned Bodies Boot Camp very seriously. Nowadays, I will bend over to tie my shoes, look for that red Lego under the bed and you won't hear a peep outta me.
I cannot express enough how much this Boot Camp has changed my life. I have become part of a network of women who value their bodies and push themselves beyond what most of us realize we are capable of. I benefit from the nutrition tips, the resistance training, the positive energy from the games, and the terrific women who always join each month.
It's so nice to be able to wear fitted clothes and see tone and definition where there used to be my "jiggly parts". This camp makes me grateful to the trainer but also proud of myself for accomplishing so much for my self image. I never realized how important it is to do something just for me and everyone in my family benefits from a fitter, happier, more energetic mom.

I joined Toned Bodies Boot Camp in March 2011. My first day in class was really exhausting for me since I had not been exercising much before that. With each workout my strength, endurance and energy greatly improved.
The workouts are great! There are always different exercise combinations and new exercises introduced so you are never bored with the same old routine over and over.
Erika, the instructor, always focuses on exercises that work every muscle, therefore giving you noticable results all around. She also makes sure everyone has good form while doing the exercises to help prevent injury. There is plenty of support from Erika as well as the Boot Campers to help you out with anything from how to perform the exercise correctly, cheering you on, or to answer any questions you may have.
Another part of Toned Bodies Boot Camp that I like is the monthly food/health topics. Erika chooses a different topic each month and discusses it in a very informative manner. This is a great addition to the exercises.
And then there are the games - these are awesome! Where else can you go and exercise and have fun doing it? Erika is very creative in incorporating games into the workouts. The games are always fun and different and get you revved up. Before you know it, class is done. You walk out feeling energized and looking forward to the next workout!
There is one more thing that I would like to share and that is my results. I am happy to say that I have lost several pounds and several inches all around in a short period of time. And I am even happier to mention that there are other women in Boot Camp who have lost weight - some losing over 100 pounds! This is really awesome to see. I feel that at Toned Bodies Boot Camp you get results no matter how small or large your weight goal is.

Where do I even begin to start about Toned Bodies Boot Camp? For years, I have always been active and what you would call a "gym rat." Unfortunately, I went through a rough break up and gained about 20 pounds (although it may not sound like a lot but from what I was used to, it was tough!). I actually struggled to stay focused and would constantly find myself working out then coming home to splurge and say to myself "Oh, it's okay..I already burned it! One burger won't hurt." Yeah..definitely NOT a good idea!
I figured it was time to try and find a personal trainer to force a diet plan upon me, so I searched all over google and found something that caught my attention. I went through every single part of Erika's website and told myself that this was something I was interested in, even though it was not a one on one session. I have to admit, at first I was intimidated being that it would be in a classroom with all women and being a newcomer and all, people might laugh if I was not able to keep up. The one thing that stood out on her website is that even without knowing her, she reassures you that you'll be comfortable with the class..at least that was the impression I received.
Anyways, long story short..I dragged my mom with me who never worked out..ever! I thought it would be a fantastic way to get closer to her and get her fit at the same time. After enrolling her for two months, she couldn't continue due to her hectic work schedule but I am happy to say that she loved the class and actually bought an elliptical for her bedroom =) WOOHOO! I am now currently in my 5th month and although my mom does not attend with me, I do NOT think I can ever leave boot camp. My friends and family actually see the difference and they say "WOW! you look so toned!" and I am loving it!!! I feel more confident physically,mentally, and emotionally than I ever did before.
Now onto the ladies of Toned Bodies Boot Camp. I have never really had a group of "girl friends" and the coolest thing about this group of women is that the moment you walk in, you get a "fun vibe" from each and every one. NOT one of them is "snobby" or "stuck up" and usually I sense that when I walk in a classroom with all women..not here though. At the moment, there is a bad habit that I am trying to currently overcome and they have been nothing but supportive. I have never met a more fun,diverse, motivating, and nonjudgmental group of women. I love each and every single one that I have met! =)
*ABOUT THE BEST TRAINER EVER* Seriously, words can't even begin to express how happy I am to have met someone like Erika. She is super sweet and you KNOW she cares about your well being. You can instantly tell right away that she has a passion for what she does and she is phenomenal at it. I always tend to spill the beans with her because not only does she treat you like student but she treats you as if you're family as well. She knows when to work and when to play and boy, she doesn't mess around when it comes to class! haha! Not one class has been boring and there are days that I am too lazy to even work out but the minute she gets you all warmed up, I can't stop working out. Her games are entertaining and she rewards you with goodies. She makes sure that you get what you deserve when you work hard. =)
Sorry for this being so long, I can go on forever but I think it is time that I wrap this baby up! Thank you Ms. Erika for all that you do for me and everyone else.

My entire upbringing was surrounded by outdoor activities, sports and a mom who fed us healthy food. I was fortunate to have an environment where doing what was right seemed natural. Enter the next phase of my life; marriage, a home and a business that sometimes took 60 hours a week to operate. The biggest challenge at first was time but then the ability to challenge myself to be physically fit 25 years older with a whole lot of stress in my life! I found Erika after a car accident injured my back and another accident where I had broken my ankle. I needed more than ever to have someone walk me thru a workout with intensity and something that would bring about results as my attempts to self-motivate were floundering. I knew with the right person, the right environment and the proper direction that I could do the work. The biggest question was...would I? I knew the outcome was in my hands but I couldn't do it alone. I am mid-way through my 5th Boot Camp. I have definition in my muscles and especially in my mid-section that I've never seen before! I am constantly inspired by the women who all show up and give it their all. Erika keeps the workouts fresh, fun and most importantly effective. The feeling of strength and power that I have carries into all areas of my life. I can cope with the endless days of caretaking a family member, running a business and many other responsibilites. I honestly feel as good as I did 20 years ago! Boot Camp has created a frame work and reconnected me with my passion for good health. That part of the experience has been invaluable. The greatest gift is that I want to work out, I love working out and I look forward to it! I do not believe I would be in this place without the help, support and inspiration of Erika and my Boot Camp Buddies!! I would recommend it highly and have the deepest gratitude for the opportunity to participate. My goal is to enroll for the entire year and to make turning 45 (in about 4 wks) a milestone in my life! Wow! What an an unexpected amazing experience. When I first signed up for boot-camp I was just going to do one month to kick start my workout regiment. After a few classes I decided to do one more month. Then I said just one more....well as I look back this has been one of the best investments I could have done for my health, energy and nutrition for my body.
Thank you for all your encouragement and amazing workouts. Besides workouts that are fun, different and never boring, you create an atmosphere for all to want to do their best and the friendships among all is the icing on the cake. (Yum! This is only an imaginary cake, I don't want to put that type of stuff in my Toned Body!) You are the MOST DEDICATED TRAINER in my book always.

When my friend initially told me about boot camp with Toned Bodies, I thought to myself that "I don't need that, I don't have the time and I can just lose weight on my own" , so I was hesitant to join. Then I kept thinking that it would be nice to get out of the house and have time just for me. As a single mother of three, I don't get that very often. Plus, I could exercise twice a week with a friend, which is always good motivation to have a partner to work out with and if could lose weight on my own, why wasn't I doing it? So I decided to make a real investment in myself and I joined the class.
A month later, I am so glad I did!! Erika was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and the class is full of women who are active and determined to make a change in their lives like I am! It's so motivating to be surrounded by people of all fitness levels and ages trying to reach the same goal. The classes were challenging, but fun. I never thought I could sweat playing Red Light, Green Light! I learned why we do the exercises we were doing and Erika offered nutrition pointers to make sure we are getting the most from our workout. So not only did I gain friends, but I gained knowledge about my body and what it needs...and managed to start losing inches!
Boot Camp was so good for me, I now feel the ambition to keep up the exercising and really change my lifestyle and the way I eat to reach my goal. Erika and the class really made me feel like anything is possible. I already feel stronger, mentally and physically!! It's amazing what four weeks can do!

There are many things I'm very particular about and the type of trainer and workout I need are among them. I'm very stubborn and need people who allow me to work at my own pace yet still push me gently towards my goal when I'm falling behind. They need to be patient, understanding, and help me believe in myself and what I can accomplish. I need to be encouraged by people who are realistic and won't judge too harshly if I fall off the road to my goals for a while. They need to be caring and genuine. They also have to be able to invent new ways to keep me motivated and committed. This leader needs to be knowledgeable, lead by example and most importantly help me produce results I'm looking for. This may sound like a lot to ask for in one person, but I've been lucky enough to find all these qualities in Erika!!
When I first signed up for Boot Camp with Erika, I wanted to just try it out for a couple of months, but then ended up enjoying it so much that I kept on going! Those who know me well know I tend to have commitment issues; I usually either get bored or frustrated and don't want to keep up with what I've already planned. Erika keeps the workouts different every time - you never get the same routine twice and never know what to expect so it keeps you wanting to go back for more. I love every aspect of bootcamp - especially the competitive games that help you forget you are even working out! Winning prizes is nice too because I never win anything anywhere else!
I had a few goals in mind when I signed up for bootcamp: I wanted to work on my endurance to run a marathon, drop some weight and tone up once and for all (the healthy way) for a wedding and for the last year in my twenties, and also meet some new people I don't normally get the chance to befriend. Bootcamp did this for me and then some! So many unexpected good things are coming out of this bootcamp and I'm so happy I'm a part of it.
Erika, with your guidance, I've finally been able to make realistic and positive changes not only physically, but all the nutritional information and tips you've provided has definitely made an impact on me living a cleaner, more organic life. I still have a lot of work ahead of me but it's my honor and pleasure to be training with you. Thank you for being such an AMAZING person!!

There are so many wonderful and positive things that I can say about Erika and her Boot Camp. She is strong and encouraging, funny and a great listener. She doesn't give up on you, and she wants you to hit your goals more than you do at times. I have had the pleasure of being in her life for about 10 years and I cannot imagine where I would be if it wasn't for her helping me get in shape. I cannot imagine the weight I would have on me without her love and support. She has worked around my many issues, and never let my lower back issues stop her or me from getting a great workout. Not only through exercise, but health and nutrition, I have started my slow but steady process of changing my habits.
I am so thankful for Erika, and cannot express the love and gratitude I have for her. Thank you Erika for believing in me when I didn't and for pushing me when I needed it. Mostly, thank you for your honesty. Not many people have the ability to look a friend/client in the eyes when they aren't hitting their goals and say with a smile and love in their heart "Stop putting the fat in your mouth." I love Erika for those words.

Erika's Boot Camp is the highlight of each week for me. Not only do I get a great workout but I also have met wonderful women who inspire and motivate me.
My original intention in going to Boot Camp was to maintain a healthy weight and keep toned up, which I have thanks to the class. However, the fun games, great competition and relationships with the women have been what keeps me coming back month after month. Not only does Erika provide us with great and fun workouts week after week, she also gives us great information on food topics that help in everyday life.
I think Erika's ability to teach the importance of maintaining a balance of exercise AND healthy eating really helps everyone in Boot Camp accomplish their goals. Erika inspires me to be a strong healthy woman and I am forever grateful to her for everything I have learned from her. She is a great trainer, boot camp instructor, nutritional coach and best of all, friend.

Erika's bootcamp really kicked my fitness routine into gear. Each camp is unique, providing the tools and knowledge to use on your own. My resistance band sat in a drawer until I learned how to use it and use it right during camp. The games are the best....by the end of the first week all the campers were cheering each other on! With her enthusiasm, encouragement and sense of humor, Erika has pushed me further than any other trainer in the past. I look forward to additional training sessions!!!

I can't thank you enough for the dedication and commitment you offer to each and every person you work with. Your keen eye for diagnosing what is REALLY getting in the way of meeting our fitness goals is amazing. You motivate me to seek the changes I need, and educate me along the way so that I can be really informed of the decisions I make! It's been so eye-opening to see what I can actually accomplish if I put my mind to it. When I've gotten discouraged or disheartened, you've been there with a friendly ear and a matter-of-fact manner to get me back on track and away from making excuses. Even more than that, though, you make it fun to work out! Half the time, I don't even notice how hard I'm working until the next day, because I'm having such a good time! Erika's Boot Camps are fun, TOUGH, silly, comfortable, and EFFECTIVE! I highly recommend it to any gal looking for a fun way to get in shape, make new friends, and get friendly support!

It is hard to imagine finding a fitness trainer that is not only great at being a trainer, but genuinely sweet, caring and beautiful inside and out. Erika is tremendously knowledgeable about nutrition and can give the analytical person like myself the reasons for not drinking alcohol or eating peanuts. Calories are apparently not just calories. Who knew? Erika!
I had created great results with her when she was my personal trainer. When I switched to boot camps, though, I got much more. Her boot camps are not only effective, but fun. The exercises that made my heart beat 1 million beats a minute were disguised as fun games with the girls. We even get prizes for winning!
Erika's boot camp is different from all others because she adds her personal feminine touch to it. She knows how to positively motivate us and gently push us to our physical limits, all with a smile. She keeps us competitive with ourselves and one another during a game and supportive after one.
Working out is great, but I must confess that my favorite evening is the last day of boot camp every month. This is when we can take notice of how much stronger we are from a month ago. This is when we share our achievements and celebrate others' achievements. This is when we sit down and spend time getting to know each other. This is also when we build our long lasting friendships. Thank you, Erika. You are an amazing trainer.

Boot Camp is turning out to be so much more than I expected. The months I've been in Boot Camp are not only toning me up but I also enjoy all the fun and creative games and challenges, as well as meeting a great group of gals. It doesn't matter how many times I workout on my own, I always wake up the morning following Boot Camp sore in different areas. This gives me the feeling of having accomplished a great workout.
I have several favorite things about Boot Camp. I highly enjoy watching each gal get crowned Most Dedicated Camper. I enjoy watching everyone's competitiveness switch into overdrive when 2 teams are neck to neck in a racing challenge. And I love laughing so much because the last of us ended up silly dizzy from when we play the "Hot Potato" game!
What is there not to love about Erika? Her dedication to being healthy and guiding others along their missions is so inspirational. Her positive enthusiasm makes her a great team leader.

Hello my favorite trainer in the world! I want to thank you for being you. I want to thank you for following your heart and becoming a trainer. You have transformed my life! It's not an exaggeration. You have helped me achieve something I felt was beyond my wildest dreams. My health, body, mind and even my soul will never be the same.
You have transformed my life forever by bringing me to realize my dream of getting in shape and that living in great health is possible - I'm living it.
But that's not it. The biggest transformation is yet to come when I become a wonderful trainer just like you. See? I really love the experience of boot camp. I seem social...and I am...when I am in my element...the salon! But to walk into boot camp (a little intimidated...to be honest) and see all these strong, beautiful, hardworking women who have all come together by a strong and also beautiful person inside and out as Erika, was a real treat. This experience really takes me a little more out of my shell. Not only is Erika teaching me the right workouts to do that are changing my body but also I found that I am fully retaining the educational part of boot camp.
In every workout I want to impress myself and push myself just a little bit further, but I also want to make Erika proud of me (cheese ball, I know), but it's true! To see how much she likes that I could hold a 50 second plank was amazing. I feel sexy and I have Erika to thank for that. Erika helps me see that all of my excuses of not being able to do something because of my "back" are all in my head. I am perfectly capable of not only pushing myself and seeing the results, but also to know that if I really want to, I can commit to something.
I feel what Erika is doing is great and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Toned Bodies Boot Camp!!

I have been on a long weight loss journey for the last couple of years. Starting in 2005, I decided that I was way too heavy and needed to lose over 100 pounds in order to become healthier. I decided to make a lifestyle adjustment and started working out 5 days a week and eating healthy. It took about 20 months and I had lost over 110 pounds. I was on the right track to my goal weight, which would have been another 30 pounds, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Since then I have been diligent about maintaining my weight, but as life would take me on a different journey, my waistline began to increase. It became harder to not only maintain my weight, but lose those last 30 pounds.
I met Erika over the last two years and have continually heard friends just raving over their results. So in March I decided to add Erika's boot camp to my workout regime. I have to say, I have never felt stronger. I have been working out for the last couple of years consistently, but since adding in boot camp, my core strength, balance and stamina has improved immensely. Not to count, my pants are finally feeling loose. Erika is so creative in the way she trains. I love the team work that is involved in the boot camp. I am hooked!
